Italiano: ‘The Wounded Earth – A Triptych’ (La Terra Ferita – Un Trittico) esplora il pianeta come un corpo vivente e vulnerabile.
Attraverso tre pannelli la Terra appare ferita e fratturata, pur mantenendo la possibilità di guarigione. Crepe, cicatrici e strati esposti rivelano danni causati dall’estrazione, dalla violenza e dall’incuria, mentre le fessure riempite d’oro rimandano alla resilienza, alla riparazione e alla cura. Il trittico è composto da tre pannelli incorniciati: 80 x 60 cm, 80 x 80 cm e 80 x 40 cm. Il pannello centrale è il nucleo emotivo dell’opera, mentre i pannelli laterali echeggiano la tensione tra danno e compassione, croll e silenziosa resistenza. Attraverso collage, immagini stratificate e superfici tattili, l’opera invita a una visione ravvicinata e alla contemplazione. Piuttosto che un’ac- cusa, offre una preghiera visiva — il riconoscimento di un danno e un gesto verso la responsabilità.
English: ‘The Wounded Earth – A Triptych’ explores the planet as a living, vulnerable body.
Across three panels, the Earth appears wounded and fractured yet still holding the possibility of healing. Cracks, scars, and exposed layers reveal damage caused by extraction, violence, and neglect, while gold-filled fissures reference resilience, repair, and care. The triptych is composed of three framed panels: H 80 x W 60 cm, H 80 x W 80 cm, and H 80 x W 40 cm. The central panel functions as the emotional core of the work, while the flanking panels echo the tension between injury and compassion, collapse and quiet endurance. Through collage, layered imagery, and tactile surfaces, the work invites close viewing and contemplation. Rather than accusation, it offers a visual prayer—an acknowledg- ment of harm and a gesture toward responsibility.
